I tested with 3.19.0-15-generic, this is not fixed, so root disk
password prompt is not shown on external display. And I re-tested still
with 3.19.3-031903-generic, that works fine.

This started after 3.19 kernel update.
I tested this with 4.0.0-04rc4, 3.18.9-031809 and the default
3.19.0-10. The problem is only in 3.19 kernel.

prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
