@Christopher, it's taken me a few hours to working with 3.13.0.71-generic and 4.4.0-040400rc8 to get past the boots into low graphics mode. I did the alt-ctrl-F1 and installed Nvidia-173, which didn't help. I then installed Nvidia-current, which is working under 3.13.0.71-generic. However, when
