Public bug reported: In LiberationSerif-Regular.ttf (in /usr/share/fonts/truetype/liberation/), there are two ligatures defined: 'fi' on position U+F001 and 'fl' on position U+F002 (I've checked that with Birdfont). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabetic_Presentation_Forms says that those ligatures should be on U+FB01 and U+FB02. As they are located on different positions, they are not shown, i.e. in LibreOffice Writer.
