Hello, Everyone!
I have the same issue and after run the command bellow the wireless
started working perfectly. But I don't know what the command did to the
wireless work.
sudo apt-get install network-manager-vpnc network-manager-vpnc-gnome
But after the reboot, it hasn't worked anymore.

I have a HP pavilion g6-2016ss notebook with Ralink rt5390R. Same issue.
Wifi slow downs and dropping connection with default configuration based
