simply don't understand, but inside the file:

After shutting the laptop down with kernel 4.4.0.25 the system shut down
the regular way (2 minutes 35 seconds, blank screen), but on booting the
next day, the bios recognized 4 GiB RAM. After BIOS the log that start
appearing on 00:48 stopped on the first four lines providing
information, which

I now realize I didn't get rid of linux-image-4.7.0-040700rc2-generic as
in the linked bug I said I would stick to this upstream kernel for
further testing and to answer your questions. Should I revert to the
latest stable kernel? Could this explain why I get 2 GiB RAM instead of
my regular 4?
