Num Lock light turns

After every reset when I press either Ctrl key (for example Ctrl+Alt+T
to open the terminal) the Num Lock light turns off. The Shift key also
has this effect. I have to press the Num Lock button twice to turn the

I had edited the bug description on July 12th indicating numlockx was not
responsible, but I failed to mention that it was because it wasn't not
installed. I made sure and checked today, and numlockx is definitely not
installed, so I actually installed it and tested the Num
Anthony, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
To clarify, if you uninstall numlockx, is this still reproducible?
