The bug is also present in bios mode alongside rs1. CKT 4.10.0-1.3 stalls on
first restart and magic key works to restart again. As in UEFI mode the HDD is
noisy, too noisy to keep it on board. Grub was OK for this test.
That ends this bug report. Thanks!

The only way to reach Grub’s menu is a cold shut down or to unplug the
power supply.
1. The clock is set default to 30sec.(no effect at 3sec.). The menu is
black-low-res.
$ sudo update-grub2 shows Kylin boot image and I’m able to open it. Installer
was black?
2. HP key enabled in bios gives
Fast boot is disable in bios. If I set Grub time out to 20, the machine
stalls on restart. 12 or 15 has no effect. Still not able to reach the
Grub menu with left shift. Grub menu (manual partitioning, entire disk,
UEFI) and suspend mode are the 2 bugs left. The machine runs normally
with rc3 a
Something must be done for the Grub menu and this bug comes from the 4.9
cycle.

This last one is after testing suspend mode (no tty) : cold shut down.
Suspend mode bug comes from rc2. The introduction of Canonical kernel
(4.10.0.all) in the system seems to be the source of the bug.
Apologize not waiting for you guys but there will be a snow storm here
tomorrow...

Now I have problems. Removing 4.9.0.11 and adding 4.10.0-1 at the same
time will stall on reboot. 4.10.0 stalls permanently on restart and the
HDD is noisy. I got the Grub menu back but it is intermittent. Will do
the inverse now: re-install 4.9.0.11 and delete 4.10.0.

Good news! The machine did not stall on first restart and runs
normally. Still not able to reach the Grub menu (4 Kernels on board).
The suspend bug remains, must shut down manually. Was on Ubuntu ZZ for
the last 2 days and Kylin runs much better... There is the downstream

Did not stall after first restart=4.10-rc2. Suspend mode won't wake-up.
Was ok before=default Kernel and 4.9.1. Since a month now I have a hard
time to reach the Grub menu. Left shift key is not working and its the
case now. Will do rc3 now.

Are there any error messages when the boot stalls? Also, how long does
the stall happen?
