This bug was "fixed" by re-installing Ubuntu 16.04.3 (downloaded from ubuntu.com a few days ago). The buttons did not work initially when I installed the original 16.04 LTS version released in April 2016, so I'm guessing that version of the kernel did not have that fix. The current version of

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.16
