I can confirm, that this regression affects 4.18.0-15 as well as 4.15.0-44. After downgrading to 4.18.0-14 terminals start to work again for me. This is the relevant log output: $ journalctl -f Feb 05 13:39:28 laptop login[16070]: pam_unix(login:auth): conversation failed Feb 05
