Can you test it with nvidia-driver-435? That's the one I'm using
without any problems.

still happening, fresh install 19.10 brand new del xps 7590, just
closing the lid, and machine gets stuck with gpu fallen of the bus. it's
completely stuck, all i can do is hard-reset the machine. still
happening after apt dist-upgrade
