I don't know how to do a kernel bisection, it is the first time that I submit a bug. But I have tried 5.3.18 and there aren't any problems, and 5.4.0-050400.201911242031 and output is "dummy". EDIT: I have installed all the release candidate. v5.4.0-050400rc2.201910062030 works
