Sorry, I failed to notice in bug 1940781 that kernel 5.11 is affected.
The next step would be to try the latest "drm-tip" kernel from the
kernel graphics developers. To do that please:
1. Disable Secure Boot in your BIOS.
2. Download:

I can not verify GUI issue reliable and reproducible because the most affected
machine is remote via ssh.

a preliminary test with a kernel 5.4.0-81-generic #91-Ubuntu SMP Thu
Jul 15 19:09:17 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux did not show
the crash yet. I do not consider this to be a reliable test but at least
it indicates a significantly more stable behaviour.

Thanks for the reply. Currently I only have limited, remote access. I
can not test properly in the moment. I try to conduct testing the GUI
asap but that can take weeks. Thanks for your help I try to catch up as
