Was able to reproduce this issue on two of my machines aswell. Both were
installed in EFI Mode.
Booting the older 5.15.0-18 kernel or 5.16 mainline kernels work around
this issue.

I have a legion5Pro AMD running Ubuntu 22.04.
After upgrading the kernel on my Ubuntu 22.04 pc from 5.15.0-18 to
5.15.0-22 a minute ago, I face the exact same problem i.e. see
absolutely no console output on my display past the grub menu.
Once I reboot using 5.15.0-18 img, then everything return
