Moved this because it seems to be an issue specifically with rescan_scsi_bus.sh... it may be that there IS a kernel component too, but for now I was able to obliterate a system using "rescan-scsi-bus.sh -r" on a system wiht a pretty simple local FS setup: ubuntu@barbos:~$ mount
