Public bug reported: I try to install Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on my Acer Aspire E17. The Laptop currently has 18.04 LTS installed. Here everything works. I download the ISO, put it onto an USB-stick and boot (several times)... Observations: 1. Booting takes a very long time and doesn't work always (sometime it doesn't reach the logon screen) 2. When shutting down the pc didn't power off (same problem as already mentioned here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1970065/comments/22)
3. I boot by edit the commandline in grub (replace "quiet splash" with "noplymouth" Now I see that the boot process halts at several stage for a long time. Therefore I inspect dmeg and see some warning/error reported there. I do not know if the errors report have something to do with the "power off not working", but belive that reporting these may be helpfull I will add the full dmesg later.. For ex.: udev didn't complete correct/fully.
