Same problem on Lenovo W540 with Quadro K1100M. Upgraded to 23.04
yesterday (coming from 22.10)
If I boot with an older 5.x kernal it works. So it seems to be an issue
with the new 6.x kernal.
According to this forum post over on nvidias forum
We're having the same issue on Lenovo Thinkpad W541 with K2100M discrete
graphics. These also fit into the nvidia 390 bucket. We couldn't seem to
get back to nouveau drivers to work around this situation. Reimaged back
to 22.04 for now.

(EE) no screens found(EE)
so this is bug 1543192 but triggered by some unusual issue with Nvidia
driver 390:
[ 24.161625] nvidia-uvm: Loaded the UVM driver in 8 mode, major device
number 511
[ 24.420223] NVRM: failed to copy vbios to system memory.

That error message sounds like a problem with the Nvidia driver, but
your primary GPU seems to be Intel so I don't know why it would fail to
"load GUI".
** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => nvidia-graphics-drivers-390
(Ubuntu)
