I am also affected. Ubuntu 14.04 AMD64 upgraded from 12.04. Bluetooth is
Atheros AR5B22 card. I get the error messages as described by OP, also
occassionally The name :1.139 was not provided by any .service files
and The name :1.176 was not provided by any .service files. The error

I've tested the 3.15.0 upstream kernel, and the problem persists:
hibernation works fine directly after a reboot, but it hangs at 0% when
I first start gimp, google-chrome and firefox.

* Reboot with only the kernel parameter acpi_backlight=vendor :
* Make a comment on if you can now alter the backlight with hotkeys or a
brightness applet.
That did not work.
