All I had to do to "recover" it was to boot up with a Ubuntu 14.04.2
livecd and mount the drive (I gathered logs looking to debug further).
Upon rebooting it seems to be working again.

Hi there Christopher. I tried 3.13.10 and I didn't have any issues. I
was able to suspend (on lid close) and resume a dozen times in a row.
Back on 3.19.0.15, it oddly has suspended, but I have difficulty
replicating it. For example, on a fresh boot I suspended on lid close
once. But then I resumed

Hi all.
Having still this problem on Kubuntu 14.04 LTS (USB memory sticks,
mouses, etc. inserted on USB3.0 ports are completely ignored but it
works fine on normal USB2.0). But it seems to be fixed on Kubuntu 15.04
beta; if I found any problem on the last one will notify.

Hm, interesting. When booting with 3.11 from Saucy, scrolling seems
quicker (my interactivity local is buggered by a keyboard monitor switch
which some day I should replace), at least I could not really read what

In the last several days, the Unity UI has started to always show that
my laptop is running on battery, even when the AC adapter is connected.
Annoyingly, this bad reading of state seems to extend to auto-suspend
logic, so the laptop will auto-suspend when at low battery even
