and as far as I can tell (taking into account Joseph's 3.16 and upstream
4.2rc3), that a87938b/b51621a commit is neither the cure or cul
I was able to use this test kernel and run our memory stress test
application on it. I was able to balloon it up from its startup memory
to 3.5GB. Looks like the test kernel works okay. No errors on our stress
tests, no unexpected messages in the syslog.

jsalisbury, I tried to install the upstream kernel but ran into
problems. As stated in the wiki page you linked, out-of-tree modules
need to be disabled to use that kernel version. However, doing that
disabled the wireless on my system (somewhat old laptop), so I had to
revert.

This is apparently a long standing issue; I've seen multiple unresolved
bug reports dating back to 2009. But instead of collecting all
information in one place, apparently it is preferred that new reports
are filled. So here it is.
The problem is still the same as what other

Deleting a *non empty* folder on a cifs share won't work with cifs>1.0 as
expected.
Deleting files and empty folders step by step works.
Tested in LXTerminal and PCManFM.

Not sure how to view the mainline kernel in the boot menu, I've followed
the wiki but I'm stuck at "When this process completes you should have a
