I have installed Linux Mint 17.2 Mate(64bit) on my new Acer Aspire
E5-573. I am having a problem with wifi. Wireless connection is not
working, only wired connection is working.
I have a Qualcomm Atheros Device 0042 Wifi card.

I am seeing this same issue on two separate Z87 boards from Asus on
Gentoo. It looks like the culprit is the Asmedia USB 3 controller, at
least from my end.

Another finding I'd like to share that temporarily solves this
problem.
The Asus Z87 Maximus VI Formula board I have allows me to enable/disable
USB controllers from the BIOS. I disabled the Asmedia USB3 controller
and all the issues seem to go away:
1. laggy BIOS initialization
2. slow udev

Hmm now I see a few warnings in dmesg also after a resume with 4.2-rc6,
though no GPU hangs at least and no apparent user visible issues caused
by them. I'll check with upstream what they mean and if there's a fix
already.

After the recent update, I can confirm that bumblee broke for me as
well. I had the same plymouth goes to black screen problem.
As a shot in the dark *(and me not trusting my installation), I removed
bbswitch and all nvidia related packages, and then installed nvidia-346.

I wasn't using the NVIDIA card anyway, so I didn't need dynamic card switching
