I have this same bug in 15.04 Vivid
Laptop goes to standby but the screen never wakes up. The Thinkpad i
LED switches back to fully on (instead of the standby-blinking) but the
screen remains black, not even the backlight switches on.
Ctrl+Alt+F1/F7 doesn't help either.
