But you can easily run it until then...
Use the 16.04 Beta 2 AMIs, but just disable kernel updates (say, with
"apt-mark hold") and update
Can not reproduced this issue on Precision 5510 (Ubunut 16.04, 4.4.0-21
and 4.4.0-22)
System can suspend/resume by close/open led successfully.
If a external monitor is connected, close led is not able to trigger
suspend (on Precision 5510)

Strange raphael, I also have a Dell Inspiron 5537 and all works with Mainline
Kernel 4.4.9. I can suspend and hibernate lots of times with no problem!?!?
I think is related to ati radeon graphis card! I don't need it so I turn it off

Unplug HDMI does not cause crash/hang. But internal display is laggy
