Kernel 4.7.0-040700rc1-generic was installed and tested, the problems
also appear with this upstream kernel (in this case, blank screen which
stayed like that for a whooping 12 minutes, but this time it shut itself
down. Im going to keep this upstream kernel to see how it shuts down.

suspend/resume/hibernate all worked quite well in 15.04 and 15.10?
So it might help focussing on the changes between 15.10 and 16.04 first.
Machine is a Dell Latitude 3540 from early 2014. No proprietary drivers.

difference whether the connection to the handsfree device (Funkwerk Ego
Flash) is initiated by the phone (E 4.5) or the device itself.
When the handfree device connects to the phone, I experience the
symptoms of "no audio" on

battery recognizing; with kernel 4.6 and 4.7rc1 also.

- The bluetooth adapter is not correctly recognized. lsusb gives me this

I'll gladly help with this, but I don't know how to revert to the old
ubuntu firmeware.
When I tried to do sudo dpkg -r linux-firmware_1.158_all.deb
I got this error:
dpkg: error: you must specify packages by their own names, not by quoting the
names of the files they come in
Type dpkg --help
salvia, to advise, you don't need to apport-collect further unless
specifically requested to do so.
Despite this, could you please test the latest mainline kernel (4.7-rc2)
and advise to the results?
