The specific problem with NUC seems to have been my fault: I didn't
realise it was installing in UEFI mode, so did not create an ESP (EFI
System Partition).
It was strange that it managed to even start booting the kernel at all;
I can only guess that the hardware was not correctly initialized.
This is hopefully the last iteration on a stable targeted fix for bcache
on non-4k architectures. Noting that this possibly applies to 4.6 (if
that gets used for Yakkety) but needs at least some rework for 4.7 as it
looks like submit_bio* functions changed arguments with rc2.

I got through the install of Ubuntu Desktop 16.04.1 under Gen2 Hyper-V ,
Win 10 Anniversary update, with secure boot disabled. However, when it
rebooted after the install and asked for the encrypted hard drive
password, the keyboard did not work. Further reset/reboots resulted in
a black screen
Separate issue #1609715 raised about installer continuing with UEFI
installation even if there is no ESP.
This specific hardware is now working fine.
I would still like recovery mode to be more predictable in the event of

The original description says "kswapd0 falls into a busy loop and spins
on 100% CPU usage indefinitely". But I think, while the effect may be
similar, the actual behavior is a bit different. I think what is
happening is that kswapd is accessing pages of memory that are causing
the hypervisor

2) Choose "Check disk for defects"
3) After some seconds it will display:

Have you tried a newer kernel? Yakkety is still on 4.4, but I think
mainline is up to 4.7.

Since my fresh install of ubuntu 16.04 my touchpad haven´t worked at
all. Fortunatly I can use a wireless mouse but I would like to be able
to use my touchpad aswell. I have provided the dmesg and devices logs.
