Hi all.
Testing Linux Kernel 4.8.0-040800rc3-generic #201608212032 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux
did not solve the problem.
However, I found on the internet the problem is coexistence with wifi, then I
manually switched off wireless (by Fn keys on the keyboard), and voilá, it
works.
Too bad it stops

Using the keyboard to switch off wireless activates BT adapter. In my
case, even not activating it again, the wifi is on and both (BT and
wifi) works as expected. Except I cannot receive files from my phone,
only send (that is a separate issue, I think).

My stereo headphones shows this bug. I've tried to add

Antonio Vinicius Menezes Medeiros, to keep this relevant to upstream,
one would want to test the latest mainline kernel (now 4.8-rc3) as they
are released.
Could you please advise?

Just FYI, I proposed a patch at
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97163. I can't test it
beyond checking it compiles without warnings because when I built my own
xserver xorg-server_1.18.4 and installed it to the default prefix
(/usr/local/bin), X crashed. This was without any changes
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.8 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix
The 4.8 kernels do not boot at all. I had very strange results. First it
gave errors about soft lockup. But the hardware is perfectly fine, I am
running windows and xenial (albeit slow) with no crashes or errors. Also
ran memtest and everything was fine.
The generic 4.8 is somewhat trying to boot

This new test kernel (commit c5bf368a270f1ae468ae27f2e6527d40381dda5d) does
have the bug.
You have found the culprit commit.
Cheers,
Ian.

Public bug reported:
Hello,
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 but this laptop Aspire E15 not detecting the
Wifi
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04
Package: linux-image-3.19.0-25-generic 3.19.0-25.26~14.04.1 [modified:
boot/vmlinuz-3.19.0-25-generic]
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu
I installed updates to my 14.04 system about once a week, including any
new kernel versions that came along (I always did "apt-get dist-
upgrade"). In other words, there wasn't really one specific kernel
version that I was using.
My dad's computer, which has pretty much the same hardware as mine
