We've just had a second occurrence of this, same kernel, but with
Xenial. (Xenial HWE Edge kernel 4.15.0-29) with the same scenario,
mkfs.ext4 a /dev/bcache0.

available & can't play any sound. Probably fixable, probably a pain.
Unless the bluetooth bug is a big issue for you, maybe don't bother
