I was looking through asus modules and decided to load this one and the
keyboard/screen backlight fn hotkeys began to work afterwards.
Previously I was manually echoing keyboard brightness and using
xbacklight -inc/-dec to change my screen brightness.
This laptop model is: ASUS
The fixes in the 4.20-rc kernels are for other laptops, not the UX391UA.

1. Simple delete the later, 4.15.0-39 & -42 versions, leaving me space on the
/boot partition and perhaps try reloading one of them ?
