same problem here with a MEDION MD 96500 Notebook. wistron_btns causes a
segfault and as a result the machine won't shut down.
A fix has been posted several times to LKML and it is really hard to understand
why it is ignored.

My laptop (X1, 5th generation, model 20K4001XUS) sometimes would freeze
when suspending (but not regularly or reproduceably).

Confirmed that this is still an issue on 18.04.1. I have an HP 705 G1
with the Broadcom 5762. In my case it's a Plex server. Whenever I try to
stream something the interface goes "NO-CARRIER" and the only way to
recover is to reboot. I've tried disabling highdma, tso and gso using

mode is used instead of "physical flat".With "physical flat" model acpi
works fine and acpi tables seem to load successfully, you can later
