Hi, sorry about not having the time to go through all the testing at the
time.
Nor I am using Raring, and the problem persist. Just thought I would let
you know.
The funny thing is that I never had this problem with Linux Mint:
http://www.linlap.com/hp_probook_6470b
I will comment again if I
I have also successfully built the module for kernel 3.8.0-27
root@htpc:/usr/src/b43b1-6.30.223.95# dkms add -m b43b1 -v 6.30.223.95
Creating symlink /var/lib/dkms/b43b1/6.30.223.95/source -
/usr/src/b43b1-6.30.223.95
DKMS: add completed.
root@htpc:/usr/src/b43b1-6.30.223.95#
I tested it with a live version of Precise. Unfotunately it did not
work. The system failed to resume from suspend as with 13.04.

Semi-newbie here, with a q190, dual boot (win8 and precise), grub
working (finally!), wired working, WIFI NOT working.
I updated the kernel following these instructions :
http://www.liberiangeek.net/2013/07/upgrade-to-linux-kernel-3-10-latest-
to-resolve-some-issues-in-ubuntu/
Now i have a 3.10
FYI the driver is somewhat incomplete, not all features have been
enabled yet.
I require it to be able to run in AP mode but currently the driver in post 29
only supports
Broadcom Corporation Device 43b1 (rev 03)
Supported interface modes:
* IBSS
*
I see and I'll try to flie the new report as soon as possible, even
though I think it is the same cause as this one.
I've had a look at the kernel log and see that only two patches affected
the md component between 2.6.32-46 (working kernel) and 2.6.32-47
(broken kernel, reported in this bug):
This seems to have been fixed some time ago. At least fixed in Ubuntu
13.10 saucy.
** Summary changed:
- Lid close event is never fired = no suspend on lid close
+ HP Folio 13: Lid close event is never fired = no suspend on lid close
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed = Fix
I recently needed to reinstall the OS on my Acer one D257-13473 netbook.
I reinstalled Ubuntu 13.04 and upon doing so, I found that the touchpad
does not work at all. Previously, in 13,.04 (after upgrading from 12.10)
the touchpad did not work, and I cannot remember how I was able to get
it fixed.
Hi all. As bug 974568 is now fixed, you can install Ubuntu 13.10 saucy
and so long as it's updated (kernel = ~3.10.0-5) then the brightness
(and other) keys will work during boot. So no workarounds required.
