I have the same problem. eth0 works fine with DHCP, wlan0 (RT5390) does
not work. If I put static IP information and do not use DHCP wlan0 works
just fine, so it does not seem to be a driver problem. I also tried the

I attempted to install ubuntu 12.04 on an Acer TravelMate 8200, without
success. Initially I would just get a black/blank screen after having
chosen install language English and attempting to Install Ubuntu.
Then I added the boot options nosplash noquiet
