I connected the 14.04 via cable to a computer that has internet and
reported this way, directly with apport-collect from the 14.04.
After that I noticed that the original rtl8192cu module was still

Also built the oem-rtl-etc. driver on 13.10 for a T440p; module loads
and looks like it connects to a hub, and *sometimes* some traffic makes
it through, but it basically doesn't work.

The official version of nvidia-settings-304 in the precise-updates
repository points to version 331. So if you have precise-updates
enabled, even if you try to install the 304 version, it will install 331
by default. One needs to manually select an older version to get around
this bug.
