After sending a number of MIDI notes out of my NI AudioKontrol 1 sound

When running vivid booted with systemd kernel, shutdown consistently
takes around 90 seconds. With the normal kernel it is about 15 seconds.
In the log, shutdown started (from the cog) at 13:50:20, Mar 6th. The
purple Ubuntu screen with dots appears after a few seconds and
test steps:
1. plugin the transcend mmc which reproduces this bug.
2. plug-out mmc in step 1, plugin the other mmc which does not reproduce this
bug.
3. plug-out mmc in step 2, re-plugin the transcend mmc in step 1.
result:
(tested with kernel 3.13.0-32)
the transcend mmc could now be read.

I managed to copy the files to the same card using Windows 7, to discard
hardware error.

You are correct that ips is false (or 0 or N) by default. In fact, it
seems that the driver never even uses that one. It does enable and use
firmware-controlled power save. Load withe fwlps=0 to completely
disable power saving.

Note that this is advertised as a multi-touch pad. However, using two
fingers stops the mouse movement. This report is not referring the
absence of muli-touch. It is referring to a problem with
3.19-vivid (3.19.0-031900-generic) has the bug, 3.18
(3.18.8-031808-generic) works fine.
