I have this problem too, on my HP 15-AF014AU notebook. I installed 14.04 a couple of days ago, and noticed the WiFi dropping out. I moved to 14.10, which seemed to fix it, but after a few hours it dropped out there too. I'm now on 15.04, and the problem persists. The dropout is an absolute pain.
