I have the same problem, I believe. I am running Loki on a Toshiba
Satelite L755-s5112.
When logging in after suspend or sleep it will freeze and or go to black

I have just upgraded to 4.8.0-27-generic via "apt upgrade" and the

Checked with the upstream kernel 4.9.0_rc4 and it seems to work. I
rebooted a few times and each time the WIFI was identified correctly.
