Hi, I was trying another kernel parameters and noapic seems to work. It is not
needed to disable the whole ACPI "service", however I don't know how important
apic is. On kernel 4.18 even temperature sensors appear.
Power management is almost perfect if cpu governor is set to powersave.

couldn't this be fixed by an ubuntu kernel patch? The hardest part is to
disable gpu switching at kernel load time. APIC fixing parameters can be
hardcoded for these models I think or search for the correct pci
controller using a smart script.

4.15.0-24-generic #26-Ubuntu, now my network will not resume after
suspend.

Yes, but thats a onetime thing. The bug somehow "burns" into the system, and it

Sound working again thanks to an engineer. Apparently, the sound drivers
need to be updated. Would have hated to use Windows 10 as their updates

Just tested with the latest proposed kernel: It's working. Although it takes
about 30 minutes after the booting with the new kernel for the lines to slowly
vanish. Truly a weird bug.

Frequent hangs / lockups with
I'm not sure if I'm in the right bug thread, 4.15.0-24 stopped my
r8168/9 NIC working after suspend, was fine in prior versions. I have
tested Kai's lp1779817-2 kernel above but it does not help.

It doesn't seem to be overheating related, and I've run the bios memory
check without errors. I also tried adding the file
