I checked the new patches between rc3 and rc4, there are only some minor changes. In theory they will not introduce this problem. Please test this dkms on the rc4, this dkms contains the same driver as rc3, let us test kernel-rc4+hda sound driver-rc3 and see if the noise still happens or not.
