youtube. The screen froze and stuttered, and then it turned black. Three
seconds later, I was thrown back to the login screen. When I logged back
in, the mouse was unresponsive and the screen turned black again.

need to install the package zfs-dkms.

I don't know the performance impact. You can find the command in earlier
comments, but you basically want a variation of:
/sbin/ethtool -K eth0 gso off gro off tso off
with your network device substituted for "eth0".
If you simply run this manually after boot up, rebooting should turn it
back on
