Testing the kernel mainline built, following the instructions given in
comments #23 and #27, is what is needed. Only then I will be able, as

I can imagine where the mistake is but I'm unable to tell for sure. So
rather than telling what to do based in suppositions, I've asked for
help from the Ubuntu BugSquad; and if after this what can you do remains
unclear, I will investigate it myself till I can confirm the bug is
still there.
