12.04, by using kwin_gles desktop manager instead of the default one
(kwin).
I had problems with sound slowing down and being very choppy when
desktop effects were enabled, or when playing full-screen flash videos.

Public bug reported:
Attempted apt-get update/upgrade from CL. Gnome interface for Ubuntu software
updates just hangs.
Will continue to seek resolution.
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
I ran the suggested script without incident (with an additional
autoremove recommended in feedback) and ran upgrade. No errors reported.
The gnome interface for updates now shows up-to-date status. As far as I
can tell, the problem is resolved for me.
Thanks,
Jan Garmany

I have received brand new Dell Latitude E7470 with preinstalled Windows.
I have reinstalled the system with Ubuntu 16.04.2 from flash, formatting
the entire hard drive along the way.
I have experienced the same problem. When suspended on power and waked
up on power it worked. When I unplugged the

Although not using Ubuntu, I'm also experiencing this issue on both
4.9.27 and 4.10.15. I have been experiencing this issue since I first
setup my machine a few weeks ago.
This is the pattern that happens often when I leave my machine on:

I too have experienced this issue (Dell Precision 5510, Samsung PM951
512GB). I am now running the Kernel from Kai-Heng Feng (Posting #61)
since about 4.5h with no troubles. I'll let the machine run downloads
through the night, if it crashes I will report back. For now the fix
seems to work.

Another update:
after running well for a few days, I have now encountered this bug (first time
for me).
After the bug hit, the NVMe drive disappeared, and only a hard reset solved the
problem (I lost some work...).

I am experiencing the same(?) bug with Kubuntu 17.04, all updates as of

Doh...
Adding `universe` to xenial-updates in /etc/apt/sources.list helps:
...
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ xenial-updates main restricted universe
So, the "bug"/questions might be:
- Was somehow my setup broken leading to an absent `xenial-updates
universe` in /etc/apt/sources.list?
What I did after your comment:
apt-get update
apt-get remove zfs-initramfs zfsutils-linux
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt autoremove
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install zfsutils-linux zfs-initramfs
Still I see the following error:
zfs-initramfs : Depends: zfs-doc (=
It seems that solution described here fix the issue:

I am having this problem on a thinkpad t470s, ubuntu 16:04 LTS.
It does not occur all the time, but in about 30 % of the cases after coming
back from suspend.
