Hi,
since 3 weeks I have tried to track the reasons for a kernel panic I had with
my Thinkpad T450s.
Unfortunately, the panic happen only one in many hours and isolating the
true reasons was very difficult. I'm quite sure now that it's not
related to intel graphics nor the intel wifi driver
This "modem key" worked out of the box for me in ubuntu 15.10.
However now, in 16.04, the "usb mode switch" is not done automatically
(both is the modem is plugged at boot or after).
I suppose it's an udev regression.
So, when the "key" is plugged (lsusb):

Frédéric Pierret was the first here to identify a possible origin for
the problem. And Marco did preliminary work on this. The "jcs way" looks
promising to me, but surely it requires a lot of work. I'm joining you
on the fact that we might never get help from Realtek on this, but I
don't think we
I was wondering about this as well. It looks like not everyone have the
exact same issue. For example, I have problems with sound input only
while other people reported sound problem with output as well.
I tried to gather and resume the reports given until now. I hope I
didn't made a mistake. The

Same flickering problem.
I noticed that the bug has been confirmed almost a year now. Will it be fixed
or not?
