[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1807348] [NEW] kernel BUG at arch/x86/mm/pat.c when authorising thunderbolt eGPU

2018-12-07 Thread Nick Breen
Public bug reported:

Every time I authorise my thunderbolt 3 eGPU, and every subsequent boot
after authorising it the machine (well, at least Gnome/X/Wayland)
immediately hangs. This happened with a 18.04/bionic install too, as
well as with a 18.10/cosmic live-USB boot.

Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1807348] Re: kernel BUG at arch/x86/mm/pat.c when authorising thunderbolt eGPU

2019-03-09 Thread Nick Breen
I've since updated the machine in question to cosmic and no longer have an
up-to-date bionic install.

The issue appears resolved though, and I have full, stable use of the
eGPU.
