Which version? I can try to test. However, as I wrote previously the issue
disappears from time to time even on the current kernel.
At the moment I have a sound card correctly detected.

Soundcard
Unfortunately, it worked only before Suspend. After that again Dummy output
only in Sound settings.
Reboot doesn't help. It's a strange problem.

The same error persists when booted from Ubuntu 18.04 USB live stick.
However, after power cycle prompted at Live Ubuntu shutdown, the sound card had
been correctly detected in my main Ubuntu 16.04.
