This trouble arises when trying to update initramfs from the isofile
(ubuntu-18.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso) as soon as ubiquity terminates the
installation.
update-initramfs succeeds when run from an installed instance of Ubuntu
and after a chroot command, or, afterwards, from a running 18.04 system.
