Just installed the latest kernel so far: 5.19.0-28. Immediately I tried installing nVidia 5.25. Although this reported an error and reported it could not be installed. Unfortunately I didn´t make a note so I cannot tell what error that was. When I wanted to try again later, it appeared to be

@Russ W: Downgrading to nvidia-driver-515 avoids this issue or works around it, but doesn´t solve it. One should be able to install nvidia- driver=525 as with previous kernels I think. The latest kernel I installed this weekend (5.15.0.58) also has the same issue. Operating System: Linux Mint

Public bug reported: I just installed ¨LinuxMint Vera Xfce" again after getting probably the same problem with an Ubuntu intstallation (ubuntu-22.04.1-desktop- amd64.iso) I tried out to get an external HDMI/VDI monitor working on my laptop. All worked fine with the default "Nouveau" video
