To fix the left, middle, and right buttons at the bottom of the touchpad I put the attached file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ The important lines are Option ClickPad on Option SoftButtonAreas 60% 0 82% 0 40% 59% 82% 0 The ClickPad is not automatically recognized and the soft-button areas are not set

Hi, I have a similar problem on the same XPS 12 model. I'm running Ubuntu 13.04 with a 3.11 kernel from saucy: 3.11.0-4-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP Mon Aug 26 15:21:06 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I think the problem is that the touchpad and touchscreen are both recognized by the i2c_hid
