[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1818811] Re: The swapfile on the Btrfs file system is not activated
This bug still remains in the latest Xubuntu CORE 22.04 (xubuntu-22.04-core-amd64.iso from the end of Feb 2022). During boot process, I can briefly see "[FAILED] Failed to activate swap /swapfile" and "[DEPEND] Dependency failed for Swaps". When I execute "sudo dmesg | grep -i swap", I get some more BTRFS warnings and swap-related failures: [4.121985] systemd[1]: Activating swap /swapfile... [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1721345] Re: ALC295 codec seems to have Master and PCM channels swapped
I've fixed this issue on my Asus UX550VE, Ubuntu 20.04, kernel 5.4.0-42. I followed Optiman's instructions, which are supposed to "activate bottom speakers" using jack retasking: https://askubuntu.com/questions/973690/my-volume-is-either-max-volume- or-muted-no-middle-ground -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721345 Title: ALC295 codec seems to have Master and PCM channels swapped Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When trying to use pulseaudio to control volume on my ASUS Zenbook Pro UX550VE *uses AC295 audio codec) I noticed that pulseuadio is varying the Master ALSA channel. If I vary that channel in alsamixer I get no variation in volume. If I vary the PCM channel instead I get the desired effect that volume buttons should have. Since pulseaudio varies the Master channel by default and does not respect any configuration settings telling it to use other settings, I suggest swapping these two channels so that pulseaudio works out of the box. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1728244] Re: Touchpad stops working after reboot on Apollo Lake
Linux Mint uses Ubuntu kernels so it won't work as I have tried newer kernels as well (I'm on Ubuntu 18.04) I haven't tried Manjaro but I have installed Arch free days ago and it didn't work. I guess I will have to stick to that kernel 4.14-rc7 for some time. EZBook 3 Pro v4 Touchpad stil not working. I've tried kernels from comment #187 (v4.15.0-35) and comment #221 (v4.15.0-43.46) and both haven't worked. Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1586046] Re: Unclaimed register detected after reading register 0x65f10
There's a number of strange behaviors I observe, e.g. screen flickering, networking issues, but I don't know if these can be attributed to this specific kernel issue. Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I am running vmware, hosting a Windows 10 guest, relaying USB smartcard reader and see a flood of following warnings in dmesg: "xhci_hcd :00:14.0: WARN Event TRB for slot 1 ep 8 with no TDs queued?" I only presume they are related to vmware/usb smartcard reader, I can't be sure. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1070207] Re: Trackpoint doesn't work on Thinkpad L530
I still have a problem with trackpoint (trusty). Using elantech patch is working okay, I installed dkms module and... it's not initializing automatically. Trackpoint is not working, however when I use this modprobing: sudo modprobe -rv psmouse sudo modprobe -v psmouse It is starting work (trackpoint and scrolling) to the next restart. I don't know why it's happening. I have correct entry in /etc/modprobe.d /trackpoint-elantech.conf. I am attaching dmesg.log to clear the picture. ** Attachment added: dmesg file https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1070207/+attachment/4441766/+files/dmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1070207 Title: Trackpoint doesn't work on Thinkpad L530 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The trackpoint on my Thinkpad doesn't work.
