Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1723174] Re: Intel graphics problems on kernel 4.10.0-37-generic
Installed latest test kenel: sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-4.10.0-36_4.10.0-36.40-lp1723174Commit582945ec835e_all.deb linux-headers-4.10.0-36-generic_4.10.0-36.40-lp1723174Commit582945ec835e_amd64.deb linux-image-4.10.0-36-generic_4.10.0-36.40-lp1723174Commit582945ec835e_amd64.deb linux-image-extra-4.10.0-36-generic_4.10.0-36.40-lp1723174Commit582945ec835e_amd64.deb then executed also: sudo apt install --reinstall i915-4.11.6-4.10.0-dkms (and finally executed also the intel Graphics Update). Now 4.10.0-36 works fine; and also the 4.10.0-37 now works fine!!! [SOLVED] So the problem seem to be just the automatic rebuild of the i915 module during the upgrade (not a kernel issue but just the package setup automatic procedure).
