[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1331654] Re: [Dell Inspiron 1525] Cannot resume from suspend

2014-06-19 Thread Graeme Murray
Great work Iuri. I found that on my machine if I stopped the ntp daemon
the fail from resume happened intermittently, if ntp was running then
it happened every time?

Title:
[Dell Inspiron 1525] Cannot resume from suspend

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hello folks,

After upgrading to Ubuntu Trusty (14.04), I cannot more resume from a
previous suspend. All things were all right on 13.10.

If I boot previous kernel 3.11.0-23, everything works well.

  Also I've tried these kernels:

  vanilla 3.13.0-rc1 (Bugged)
  vanilla 3.12.22 (Working)

I also noted if I suspend from lightdm menu (on 3.13.0-rc1), I can
resume after, but If I do this after logged with my user (not root), I
am unable to resume from suspend.

I cannot perform Sysrq magic keys, I can only press the power button.

Title:
iPhone with iOS 7 does not work on Ubuntu

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Devices running iOS 7 now have a USB Pair Trust prompt that appears
when the device is plugged into a machine. This prompt reads Trust
This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this
computer when connected via USB or Wi-Fi. [Trust] [Don't Trust]

  Repro:
  1) Plug powered-on Apple device with iOS 7 into Ubuntu USB port

  Expected results:
The device should pair with the Ubuntu machine when Trust is tapped.

  Actual results:
When plugged into an Ubuntu machine, when the Trust button on the prompt is
clicked, the iPhone buzzes twice, then repeats the prompt. This will repeat
endlessly.

On the Ubuntu machine, a dialog reading The device [name of device]
is locked. Enter the passcode on the device and click Try again.
[Cancel] [Try again] is displayed. However, no opportunity to enter
the passcode on the device is ever displayed. Clicking Try again
  only re-displays this dialog, endlessly.

Title:
iPhone with iOS 7 does not work on Ubuntu

Clicking Try again
  only re-displays this dialog, endlessly.

apologies, I hadn't realise that only the bug originator could run the
test. I was following the instructions given in the email. The ios7 bug
is still there in the daily build.
