My issue was resolved after removing /etc/pm/config.d/config and a
RESTART.
That config file contained the line SUSPEND_MODULES="wl", which I had

Please update the firmwares in /lib/firmware with the latest from
http://ldriver.qlogic.com/firmware/.
Esp. the qla2400 firmware is older than the latest from Qlogic which
includes several improvements to timeouts.
