I'm in doubt whether this is an invalid bug (as I cannot reproduce it any more), or whether a fix is released (Linux code is complex, even the ChangeLogs are long). In any case, I'm closing the issue now, and my mouse works. Furthermore, it is not interesting to look into this further, as 4.10
